Two Beers and a ’98 Chevy

Segundo J. Ordonez, 66, of East Hampton was driving a 1998 Chevy east on East Hampton Village Main Street near David’s Lane and drifting onto the shoulder on Sunday at about 10 p.m., village police said. Mr. Ordonez allegedly told the officer who pulled him over that he’d had two beers earlier in the night.
Mr. Ordonez failed roadside sobriety tests and was arrested, charged with driving while intoxicated, and taken to headquarters, where he failed a breath test, according to police. East Hampton Town Justice Catherine A. Cahill set bail at $10,000 the next morning because, police said, Mr. Ordonez had a previous D.W.I. conviction within the past 10 years, which makes the charge a felony. He was turned over to the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department and taken to the county jail in Riverside.
On June 18 at a little after 2 a.m., a village officer watched as Luis S. Escadan drove erratically on Woods Lane as he headed east, swerving onto and off the shoulder, police said. Mr. Escadan, who is 28 and lives in East Hampton, allegedly failed a breath test at headquarters, and he was arrested and charged with D.W.I. His bail was set at $300 later that day.
In Sag Harbor, Michael A. Abbate, a 33-year-old New York City resident, was seen talking with a motorist parked on Long Wharf on Sunday and then driving a 2009 BMW onto the wharf at a high speed while tailgating another car, Sag Harbor Village police said. Mr. Abbate backed his car into a parking spot unsafely, according to the police report, before he got out and walked over to an officer.
He went on to fail field sobriety tests and a breath test at headquarters on Division Street, police said. He was arrested at about 3 a.m. on charges that included aggravated D.W.I., which is charged when a driver’s blood alcohol level is .18 or higher. The legal limit is .08.
Mr. Abbate was released on his own recognizance.

Unfortunately not even the Chevy's can't drive themselves so yes, beer is out of the question. I've been a car accident and I know what it can happen. I ruined my car, in fact, I am now searching for options on spokane used cars for sale, that's what I can afford at the moment.
