With the election about three weeks away, there are still a few chances to meet the candidates face to face.
On Saturday at 8 a.m., Democratic candidates for town supervisor and town board, Zach Cohen, Sylvia Overby, and Peter Van Scoyoc, will host a meet-and greet with free coffee, bagels, and muffins at the Springs General Store on Old Stone Highway.
Next Thursday at 5:30 p.m., there will be a party at Ann Maegli’s house in Montauk for all the Democratic hopefuls.
Republican candidates will be on hand each Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at local post offices. On Saturday, they will be in Montauk; on Oct. 22, they will be in East Hampton, and on Oct. 29 they will be in Montauk again.
Finally, there will be a rally for Stephen Lynch on Saturday night from 6 to 9 at the Spring Close restaurant on Montauk Highway. Tickets are $45.
