Francis A. Riley Jr. died on Aug. 11 at Southampton Hospital at the age of 78.
Holly Tyson, 68, a longtime summer resident of East Hampton, where she lived at the Lily Pond Lane house of her grandmother, Mrs. Newell J. Ward, died on Aug. 5 at home in Landrum, S.C., from complications of cancer. She was 68.
Lance Christopher McDonald, who grew up in East Hampton and later settled in Redmond, Wash., died at home there on July 20. He was 44 and had first been diagnosed with cancer four years ago..
Word has been received of the death on July 24 of Myrtle F. Blitz, a 26-year summer resident of Montauk, at Rochester (N.Y.) General Hospital. She was 85.
Mary DiSabato D’Andrea, a seasonal member of the Wainscott Sewing Society who, with her husband, ran the D’Andrea Motel in Wainscott for nearly 20 years, died on Aug. 3 at the Litchfield Woods Convalescent Home in Torrington, Conn.
Richard Balcuns, known to his friends and family as Zeke, died in his sleep on July 29 at home in Hither Hills. A longtime resident of Montauk, he had suffered from heart disease for several years, but his death was unexpected, his family said.
Ronald Senkirk, an executive at Ralph Lauren who had a long career in cosmetics, design, and fashion, died of cancer on May 30 at NYU-Langone Medical Center in Manhattan.
Shirley Ardell Ross Ruppel, a lifelong resident of Sag Harbor, died on July 29 at Southampton Hospital.
A gathering to celebrate the life of Kevin Callahan, a longtime resident of Sag Harbor who died on Dec. 27, 2014, at the age of 64, will be held on Saturday at the home of his brother Michael Callahan in Sag Harbor.
Anthony Hmielenski, who owned the Sag Harbor Launderette for more than 35 years and built the current laundromat on Main Street there, died on July 28 in a rehabilitation facility in Tarpon Springs, Fla.
Audrey Patricia Pickens, a retired New York City public school guidance counselor, died of cancer on Saturday at her home in Sag Harbor Hills. She was 72 years old and had undergone treatment for many years.
A memorial service for Joseph T. Dembia, who died on Feb. 26 of this year at the age of 93, will be held on Aug. 15 at 1 p.m. at the Wainscott Chapel on Wainscott’s Main Street. Mr. Dembia was a summer resident of that hamlet for 58 years.
Harry B. Hansen Jr., formerly of Amagansett, died on July 4 at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead. He was 84.
