A win over Ross improved the Bonackers' record to 14-0 over all and apparently marked the first East Hampton victory against the league champion in five of the seven years that the private school has fielded a team.
“We did well in track, but unfortunately the sport is track and field,” Kevin Barry, who assists Luis Morales in coaching East Hampton High’s boys track team, said following April 28th’s 92-48 loss here to Sayville.
The last time the East Hampton and William Floyd boys tennis teams met, on April 25, the match went down to a three-setter at third doubles, the Bonackers emerging as a 4-3 winner.
With the coming of spring, action in the outdoor men’s soccer leagues has resumed, and, given the quality of East Hampton’s entries, in the Long Island Soccer and Football League and in the Suffolk Men’s Soccer League, the news continues to be pretty good.
