On Saturday starting at 10 a.m., trails at the Amsterdam Beach Preserve in Montauk will be officially christened. Andy Gaites will lead a hike through this magnificent preserve. 379-4549. Guided hikes to see seals hauled out on their favorite rocks not far from the Montauk Lighthouse will set out on Saturday at 1 p.m. and again on Sunday starting at 2 p.m. from the Montauk Point State Park concession. The cost is $5 for adults, $3 for kids 7 to 18. Children under 7 go for free.

A full “fish moon” hike is planned for tomorrow starting at 7:30 p.m. in Bridgehampton. It was called the fish moon by Native Americans because it coincided with the annual shad run. Reservations can be made by calling the museum. On Sunday starting at 10 a.m., Crystal Possehl will preside over a bird-nest workshop for kids. Reservations can be made by calling the museum.

On Saturday, Susan Colledge will lead a hike up Barrel Hill and beyond from 10 a.m. to noon. The meeting place is on Edge of Woods Road, where the power lines cross. 283-0071. On Sunday at 1 p.m. sharp, the society will hold an Easter egg hunt at Poxabogue County Park, south of the railroad trestle on Old Farm Road in Sagaponack.
