The Dock has an irreverent saloon style, appropriate to its spot at the edge of one of Montauk’s commercial fishing piers. By day it is bright and airy; at night the dim lighting and decor tend to the macabre. It is possible to eat on the cheap from a menu that includes fresh fish sandwiches, steamed clams and mussels, nachos, burgers, steak, and chops. There are housemade desserts and bread from the Tom Cat bakery. A few tables have a view of the fishing draggers.
