Dockside Bar and Grill

The Dockside, in the Sag Harbor American Legion building, has been discovered for a while now. Its patio overlooking the harbor is ideal for summer dining and the wine list is reasonably priced. The menu has basics, such as chili, burgers, chicken pot pie, and pastas, but the kitchen also turns out some inspired dishes like cornmeal-crusted fluke with avocado tomatillo sauce, strip steak with coffee black-pepper crust, and Thai curry salmon with cucumber mint slaw. Regulars know to ask for the specials every night.  It's worth noting that the Dockside uses only free-range poultry, meats with no hormones or antibiotics, and fresh local food.
