This romantic, somewhat formal inn has lawns and gardens spreading down a hill toward the water, trees with swings, and a long veranda where you can enjoy a drink in the summer. In winter, there are fires on the hearth to keep away the chill. Brunch, which offers everything from crab cakes to omelettes to desserts, is popular. The menu changes with the seasons. Steamed Prince Edward Island mussels with Wolffer Estate Chardonnay were on the list of appetizers, and wild steelhead king salmon was an entree. Reservations very much encouraged. Sunday night jazz in summer.
