The Publick House is an old-style but upscale pub with a taproom as well as a large dining room. The atmosphere is abetted by wood, scrolled-tin ceilings, and candles in windows after dark. The original microbrewed beers are impressive and the food is familiar American - burgers, steaks, mussels, Caesar salad - with daily specials. There is a D.J. on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday nights.
