An elderly man was found dead in a pool on Friday morning, East Hampton Town Police Chief Michael Sarlo said.
The East Hampton Village Volunteer Ambulance Association was called to a house on Green Hollow Road in East Hampton for a possible drowning at 6 a.m. The man was reportedly dead when they arrived. His name was not immediately released by officials.
Detectives are investigating what led to his death, Chief Sarlo said. The Suffolk County medical examiner's office is responding.
