Nancy Atlas

The Nancy Atlas Project, a fixture on the East End music scene and beyond, will celebrate the release of the CD “Cut & Run” with a party and performance at the Stephen Talkhouse Thursday at 8 p.m.

The sixth studio release by Ms. Atlas and her band of four includes 16 tracks, 15 of which are original compositions. The one exception is the Dolly Parton hit “Jolene.” GE Smith, Clark Gayton, Inda Eaton, Chad Smith, Annie Morgan Rosch, Barrett Rehm Gerdes, and Thomas Bradley Muse sat in on the album.

The band, which includes Johnny Blood, Brett King, Richard Rosch, and Neil Surreal, has been together for 21 years. Its repertoire ranges from rock to alt-country. The $25 admission includes both the CD and a live show with special guests.
