Parlor Jazz Returns

At the Bridgehampton Museum’s archives building at 2539A Montauk Highway

The Bridgehampton Museum’s Parlor Jazz Series begins its third season tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. with a concert by the Howard Sisters. Hailing from Westhampton Beach, Jessica, Siri, and Joanna Howard began singing as children for churches and at other local events. All three studied voice and drama in college and went on to perform locally and nationally with opera companies, regional theater, and on and off Broadway. Best known for performing hits from the golden age of jazz, their breakout concert, “The Howard Sisters Sing Broadway,” sold out the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center in 2002.

Hosted by Jane Hastay, a pianist, and Peter Martin Weiss, a bassist, the concerts are held at the museum’s archives building at 2539A Montauk Highway, adjacent to the Nathaniel Rogers House. Tickets cost $25, $15 for members, and advance purchase has been recommended.
