The Bridgehampton Historical Society’s Parlor Jazz Concert

    Houston Person, a renowned tenor saxophonist, will be the featured performer at the Bridgehampton Historical Society’s Parlor Jazz Concert, Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the society’s archives building at 2539A Montauk Highway.
    Mr. Person first received national attention with a series of albums recorded for the Prestige label in the 1960s. In 1968 he began a musical partnership with the vocalist Etta Jones that lasted over 30 years until her death. He has released many albums under his own name, and as a producer his collaborations have been prolific. He will be joined by Jane Hastay on piano and Peter Martin Weiss on bass.
