The Southampton Cultural Center’s Rising Stars piano series will present Di Wu, a prizewinner in the 2009 Van Cliburn competition, on Saturday at 7 p.m. She will perform works by Bach, Chopin, Scriabin, and Ravel.
Ms. Wu, who was born in China and now lives in the United States, made her professional debut at age 14 with the Beijing Philharmonic and has since appeared with orchestras around the world. Her most recent appearance in Tokyo, at an arena concert recorded and released by Epic Records in Japan, took place before an audience of over 11,000. Tickets to her performance at Southampton Cultural Center cost $15. Admission is free to students under 21.
