J.B. D’Santos will direct “Barbershop, Broadway, and Beyond,” a performance of show tunes, old favorites, and original music sure to have the audience singing along, tomorrow at 8 p.m. at the former Stella Maris School in Sag Harbor.
Mr. D’Santos will sing Frank Sinatra and Neil Diamond covers. Tony Garofolo will offer up “O’ Sole Mio,” and Ron Maloney will sing “Somewhere” from “West Side Story.” Ed Kush will invite people to join him in singing “The Weight” and Robert Otto will deliver “The Boxer.” The show will also feature the Sweet Adelines Quartet and originals composed and sung by Sophia Saridakis, who accompanies herself on the piano. And for those who really want to join in, “We’re going to do ‘New York, New York’ as a sing-along,” Mr. D’Santos said Monday.
The Knights of Columbus and St. Andrew’s Catholic Church are sponsoring the production, at which Vincent Starace and Ralph DiSpigna, Knights since the 1960s, will be honored. There is no charge, but donations will be appreciated.
