At the Montauk Library

The Montauk Library’s summer concert series will present a chamber concert by the Aviva Players on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. and a performance by Janice Friedman, a jazz vocalist and pianist, on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. The programs are free and open to the public.

The Aviva Players’ program will feature a narrative performance of Francis Poulenc’s musical adaptation of Jean de Brunhoff’s “The Story of Babar”; songs by Fanny Mendelssohn; “Songs on Robert Browning’s Poems” by Amy Beach; new works for piano performed by Kathleen Tagg, and songs and arias by Mira J. Spektor.

Ms. Friedman will perform selections from the American Songbook, Brazilian music, pop songs from the ’60s and ’70s, and a few original compositions. Will Woodward will accompany her on bass.
