HIFF Offers Sneak Preview of 'Bookshop' Film on Sunday

At the East Hampton Cinema

The Hamptons International Film Festival will screen “The Bookshop,” a new film written and directed by Isabel Coixet and starring Emily Mortimer, Patricia Clarkson, and Bill Nighy, on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at the East Hampton Cinema. Ms. Coixet, Ms. Mortimer, and Ms. Clarkson will attend the screening.

Beforehand, at 5, Ms. Mortimer and Ms. Coixet will be at a signing at BookHampton of Penelope Fitzgerald’s 1978 novel “The Bookshop,” on which the film is based. It will open in theaters on Aug. 24. Tickets are $15 at the festival’s website; $65 adds a dinner after the screening.
