Promoted at Farrell Fritz
Farrell Fritz, a law firm in Bridgehampton, has announced the promotions of Brian C. Doyle and Jeffrey P. Rust to partner, and Joseph T. La Ferlita to counsel, effective Jan. 1. Mr. Doyle, a Southampton resident, concentrates his practice in commercial, business, and state court criminal litigation, representing businesses throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties. He also specializes in land use and broker disputes.
Mr. Rust, who lives in Baldwin, concentrates on health care and corporate law, advising hospitals, health care systems, and medical practices. He also provides counsel to health care providers regarding compliance with federal and state fraud and abuse laws.
Mr. La Ferlita, who lives in New York City, concentrates on trust and estate law, with a special emphasis on estate planning and trust administration.
Virginia Davis, who works at Gurney’s Inn in Montauk as a conference and banquet sales agent, has scooped up the New York State Hospitality and Tourism Association’s 2012 outstanding lodging employee of the year award (150 rooms or fewer).
Ms. Davis will be recognized at the association’s Stars of the Industry awards banquet in Albany on March 5. The awards program honors employees of hotels, motels, and tourism-related businesses throughout the state who best represent the quality service and spirit of the hospitality and tourism industry.
The lodging employee of the year award recognizes a nonmanagement worker — concierges, housekeepers, front-desk clerks — who provides outstanding service to the property, guests, and community.
