Hilaria Baldwin, wife of Alec Baldwin, both Amagansett residents, has joined the ranks of celebrity fashion designers. The yogini, new mother, and correspondent for EXTRA TV, has partnered with Lexington Clothing Company, a Stockholm “lifestyle brand” with 55 stores globally, including one on Main Street, East Hampton. The “Hamptonite capsule collection” launched this week in the local store, an outpost in Greenwich, Conn., and online. It will be available in all the Lexington stores.
“Hilaria merges casual luxury with modern style effortlessly,” said Kristina Lindhe, the company’s creative director. "Plus, Hilaria has European origins, just like Lexington Company.” Ms. Baldwin was born in Mallorca, Spain, in 1984.
Ms. Lindhe and Ms. Baldwin collaborated on the collection, which was inspired by their “summers on the East End.” The collection includes tops, sundresses, and beach accessories. Ms. Baldwin named an item after her husband: the “Alec shirtdress emulates a tailored man’s shirt.”
A percentage of sales from the collection will go to Guild Hall. Mr. Baldwin is a longtime supporter and Ms. Lindhe and her husband, Tommy Lindhe, sit on the cultural center’s board.
