Children 4 and older can channel Jackson Pollock during a drip-painting workshop on Fridays at 3:30 p.m. Smocks are a must. Sign-up can be made in the children’s room.

Natural Painting
Adults, and children 6 and up with adult supervision, can sketch or paint at the South Fork Natural History Museum or outdoors in the field behind the museum, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., July 4-6 and July 11-13, or on any weekday through August.

There is no instruction; artists and artists-in-training  may spend time on their own painting the outdoor landscape, or indoors, painting subjects from the museum’s exhibits.

Adult nonmembers can sketch inside the museum for $7, children are $5, and members are free. A same-day tour of the museum is included in the fee. There is no charge to draw or paint outdoors.
