The Bridgehampton School Board will hold a special meeting on Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 with the architect who will oversee its upcoming expansion project.

Last month, Bridgehampton voters approved a $24.7 million bond to pay for a 53,440-square-foot addition and renovations to the existing school building. Among the projects on the list are a new gymnasium, locker rooms, and fitness, science, technology, and music rooms as well as prekindergarten classrooms. John A. Grillo of Port Jefferson is the architect.

The school was originally built in 1930 and is the only one on the South Fork that has not had a major capital improvement project since its construction.

Tuesday's meeting will be in the music and science building.
