The Hampton Ballet Theatre School will present its annual production of Tchaikovsky’s classic Christmas ballet “The Nutcracker” on Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 1 and 7 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m.
Choreographed by Sara Jo Strickland, the director of the school, the production includes originally designed and hand-sewn costumes by Yuka Silvera and lighting design by Sebastian Paczynski. The show, in its eighth year, will feature performances by Adam and Gail Baranello, the school’s resident guest artists, as the Arabian Prince and Princess, while professional-level students will dance other starring roles in the beloved ballet.
Advance orchestra-level tickets are $25, or $20 for children; tickets at the door cost $30 and $25 for children for orchestra seats, less for those in the balcony. Advance tickets may be reserved by calling 888-933-4287 or by visiting hamptonballettheatreschool.com.
Children can also enjoy gingerbread house decorating at Guild Hall on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The cost is $20 or $15 for Guild Hall members.
Looking ahead to next weekend, the dance students of Studio 3 in Bridgehampton will perform “Mixed Nuts,” a classic holiday tale with a twist, at Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor on Friday, Dec. 16, and Dec. 17 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 18 at 1 p.m. Tickets are $25, or $20 for senior citizens and children under 10 years old.
