Dancehampton is gearing up for its annual dance recital, which will feature children in a show dubbed "Places, Everyone!" on Friday and Saturday at East Hampton High School.

The dancers will perform routines in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, Irish step, musical theater, and hip-hop. The studio's award-winning competition routines are included in the mix.

The show is all about "places you can go physically, emotionally, your place on the stage, your place in the world," Kelly Hren, the studio's owner, said in an email.

"All of our dancers have worked so hard and improved so much this season," she said. "It's not only about the performances onstage, though, it's about each dancer pushing themselves to reach their independent goals as a dancer. We've created a family in our Dancehampton studio that encourages our dancers to reach their highest potential."

The show is the ninth recital for Dancehampton, a studio on Lumber Lane in East Hampton Village. It will start at 6 p.m. on Friday and at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets can be purchased for $15 in advance or $20 at the door. More information can be had by calling the studio at 631-617-6254.
