   Mirko’s restaurant in Water Mill, among the longstanding eateries that have built up a dedicated base of customers from year to year, is getting set for a springtime reopening. After a winter break, Mirko’s will begin serving again next Thursday.

Bavarian Beer Haus
    In Montauk, the downtown building on South Elmwood Avenue that once housed Oyster Pond restaurant is slated to become Zum Schneider MTK, an eastern outpost of the Zum Schneider Restaurant and Biergarten in Manhattan’s East Village. The owner, Sylvester Schneider, has said it will remain open year round.

Hampton Seafood Company
    In place of Claws on Wheels, the Hampton Seafood Company will soon be open on Race Lane in East Hampton. Peter Ambrose, a longtime chef and caterer at the Seafood Shop in Wainscott, is setting out on his own to begin the fish market and takeout shop and will run Peter Ambrose Events and Endless Summer Catering from the new location.

Spring Holiday Treats
    Charlotte Sasso at Stuart’s Seafood Market in Amagansett will prepare homemade gefilte fish and other foods for Passover for those who place holiday orders.
    On Sunday at Cittanuova in East Hampton, the Italian eatery will have its fifth annual Easter egg coloring festa for children ages 3 through 8, accompanied by an adult. The Easter Bunny will be on hand, and there will be a raffle of two big chocolate bunnies. The event takes place from 9 to 11 a.m., and there is a suggested donation of $3. The proceeds will go to the Kiwanis Club of East Hampton for local projects.
