Madoo Conservancy in Sagaponack will hold its first holiday market on Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. in the summer studio.
Seasonal and festive gifts will include potted paperwhites, gardening books, and homemade pomanders. Gardening tools and an edited selection of accessories for the home will also be available for last-minute shoppers and gardening enthusiasts.
Those items will include Seibert & Rice terra-cotta pots, garden tools from the Dutch toolmaker Sneedboer, linen blankets from Madison James, and tabletop potted boxwoods from Lilee Fell Flowers. The pomanders are homemade at Madoo from lady apples studded with Zanzibar cloves tied with velvet ribbons. The paperwhites are large size, deliciously scented Ziva Narcissus bulbs planted three to a beribboned terra-cotta pot.
Admission is free and also includes a chance to see the gardens in their winter dormancy, revealing both the structures often hidden in season as well as the underpinning organizational plan of the gardens by Robert Dash. A 10-percent discount will apply to all purchases made by Madoo members and gift memberships will also be available.
