Cancellations and Closures for Tuesday

With much of Suffolk County under a blizzard watch, County Executive Steve Bellone spoke to reporters Monday morning at the county's Department of Public Works yard in Commack.

As the South Fork braces for a snowstorm Tuesday, cancellations and business closures are already being announced. The Star will keep a running list below, but we'll need your help. Please email announcements and information to TKV@ehstar.com for meetings and other events that have been canceled or postponed. 

Government

• All East Hampton Town offices will be closed on Tuesday and  all public meetings have been canceled. The East Hampton Recycling Center and the Montauk Transfer Station will be closed, as well.

East Hampton Village Hall will also be closed. 

Southampton Town Hall and all town facilities will be closed. The Southampton Town Board meeting on Tuesday at 1 p.m. has been canceled. A special meeting to handle Tuesday's agenda will be held on Thursday at Town Hall at 11 a.m. A work session already scheduled for Thursday morning at 10 will still take place. 

Libraries

• The Amagansett, East Hampton, John Jermain Memorial and Montauk libraries are closed on Tuesday.

Schools

Amagansett School District will be closed. The school board meeting has been canceled.

Bridgehampton School will also be closed. 

• The East Hampton School District will be closed Tuesday and a school budget work session scheduled for Tuesday at 6 p.m. has been canceled.  

• The Hayground School has canceled classes for Tuesday.

Montauk School is also closed. 

• The Ross School will be closed. 

Sag Harbor School District will also be closed. 

Springs School has canceled classes.

• The Wainscott School has also closed for Tuesday.
