The Bridgehampton Historical Society and the Peconic Land Trust will co-host the second annual Bridgehampton Barn Tour on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will include barns of all styles, ages, and uses in the Bridgehampton region and extending into areas of Water Mill and Sagaponack.
The barns chosen are good examples of construction trends and may also demonstrate efforts at restoration and adaptive reuse of the typical vernacular barn. There will be eight barns in all, some public and some private. The tour is self-guided.
Tickets cost $25, $20 in advance, or $15 for members in advance through the Bridgehampton Historical Society. Programs will be distributed the day of the tour at the society’s archives building at 2539A Montauk Highway, just to the east of the intersection with Ocean Road, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Programs will act as tickets and will not be distributed prior to the day of the tour. Docents will greet guests at each barn site, which will be identified with orange traffic cones and flags.
