Shades of coral, spring green, magenta, and the ever popular blue are some of the signature hues of this year’s Hampton Designer Showhouse in Water Mill.
With a mix of textures, finishes, materials, wall treatments, and floor coverings, there is much to assimilate. Several familiar South Fork names are represented this year, including the Mark Humphrey Gallery, English Country Antiques, Lucille Khornak Photography, Old Town Crossing, and Mabley Handler Interior Design, which is based in Water Mill and makes liberal use of the fabric designs of Jonathan Adler, who lives on Shelter Island.
Other participating designers, many of whom come from all over the country, mix the Hamptons aesthetic with touches of Palm Beach, Palm Springs, and even the Arctic.
The $30 entry fee benefits Southampton Hospital. The showhouse, at 80 Flying Point Road, is open seven days a week, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., through Sept. 3. Mario Buatta is the honorary chairman of this year’s event; Jamie Drake and Alexa Hampton are honorary design co-chairmen.
