The East Hampton Historical Society kicked off the holiday season with yet another successful cocktail party at the Jack and LuAnn Grubman residence in Georgica on Friday night. The event was a launch party for the society's annual house tour held on Saturday.

The cocktail party annually draws a large, cheery crowd from many parts of the community, often with Thanksgiving house guests in tow. Originally thought up by Jim Oxnam, who is a board member, and his associates, the cocktail party has become a consistently winning, elegant, yet simple fund-raiser for the society.

Decked in Black Watch plaid and festive red, Charles Russell, Joan McGivern, and Colette Russell enjoyed the cheer.
Kay Gibson and John Gibson, left, joined Min Spear Hefner and Bob Hefner at the party.
The room was bright and cheerful.
