Anti-Pole Rally Saturday

A rally protesting PSEG Long Island's installation of new, taller utility poles and higher-voltage electrical transmission lines along a six-mile route from East Hampton Village to Amagansett will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Hook Mill in East Hampton.
Save East Hampton, a group heading up the opposition to the poles, rescheduled the rally from March 30 because of poor weather. The gathering, which the group is calling an informational festival, will include music and refreshments.
The group hopes that those who attend will contribute money toward the fight to bury the transmission lines.
