Bill and Hillary Clinton are set to arrive Wednesday for what's becoming their annual summer holiday in the Hamptons, but their address this year may surprise you.
The political power couple are renting north of the highway in Amagansett this time around, according to a Huffington Post blog post from Blake Fleetwood, who has a house nearby.
The $18 million house at 44 Broadview Road is perched on a 200-foot-high bluff overlooking Gardiner's Bay in the Bell Estate. The 7-bedroom, 7.5-bath house has magnificent views of Gardiner's Island and offers the Clintons' privacy. One of their next door neighbors is reportedly Harvey Weinstein, who purchased a house for $12 million recently.
In years past, the Clintons spent the month of August on Lily Pond Lane in East Hampton, where they rode out Hurricane Irene, and, last year, in Sagaponack.
They've been known to frequent East Hampton Village with Mr. Clinton stopping by the annual Artists and Writers softball game and celebrating his birthday at Babette's restaurant.
It won't be all relaxation this month. The New York Times reported that they will attend a fund-raiser for the Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation in Water Mill on Aug. 9. Ms. Clinton is scheduled to speak about her newest book, "Hard Choices," at BookHampton in East Hampton Village on Aug. 16.
