The Montauk Lighthouse Committee is gearing up for the return of the big holiday lighting of the Light on Nov. 25 at 4 p.m., after a one-year hiatus.

The lighting this year will be dedicated to the late Betsy White, a Montauk Historical Society president for 20 years who was a charter member of the Montauk Lighthouse Committee when it took over stewardship of the Light. Ms. White was the society's vice president at the time of her death in October of last year.

The committee is accepting donations to defray the approximately $50,000 cost of the holiday Lighthouse lighting. They can be made online at montauklighthouse.com.
