The East End Classic Boat Society promises a “blockbuster” small boat sale at its spring open house, happening on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Community Boat Shop, behind the East Hampton Town Marine Museum on Bluff Road. Rowboats, canoes, a fully restored Beetle catboat, and a 16.5-foot fiberglass Catalina sloop will be for sale. All offers will be considered. Antique rudders, centerboards, wooden boat memorabilia, belaying pins, nautical caps, and T-shirts will also be available.
Those attending the open house will be able to tour the shop and view vintage boats undergoing restoration as well as the society’s 2017 raffle boat, a Sunshine tender. The tender will be raffled later this year, and its winner will also receive an accompanying sail, oars, and a new, galvanized trailer.
The boat society is a nonprofit organization that meets on Wednesdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. year round. Membership is open to all, of any skill level, for annual dues of $35. Family memberships are $45.
