The forecast is looking good for the East Hampton Fire Department’s annual fireworks display over Main Beach Saturday night. But even if the weather cooperates, the department still needs help to make it a success, as the all-volunteer organization relies on contributions to support its efforts.

The fireworks will light up the sky around 8:30. In case rain does interfere, the display will go off on Sunday instead.

The department will have its tower ladder flying the American flag at the head of the beach, and its Famous Old #5 antique engine will be on display for photographs. Firefighters will be on hand to take donations, but they can also be made online at easthamptonfiredepartment.org or by mailing a check to the East Hampton Fire Department, 1 Cedar Street, East Hampton 11937.

The East Hampton Fire Department, made up solely of volunteers, depends on donations for the fireworks show.
