The Stephen Talkhouse, a popular nightspot on Main Street in Amagansett, will be the site of a three-hour fund-raiser on March 19 for Jordan Johnson, a former East Hampton High School student who is in a rehabilitation facility in Manhattan as the result of an apparent drug overdose on Jan. 29.
A post on the Talkhouse's mobile app page reads: "Please help us help Jordan and his family. He will be going through physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy for at least six months. Please help us show support for a local family."
The post includes a picture of Mr. Jordan, who was found unconscious after a party for teenagers at a Neck Path, Springs, residence. Authorities were not contacted until the next morning.
The fund-raiser, which will kick off at 7 p.m., will include music by Mama Lee Rose and Friends, auction items, a 50-50 raffle, and food. The minimal suggested donation is $20.
