For those who already have everything they need, a donation to a local nonprofit in their names could be the holiday gift that keeps on giving.
Four Montauk nonprofits are among those putting out the call for support from the community during their end-of-year appeals.
Music for Montauk, which provides world-class music in the summer and off-season as well as concerts for Montauk schoolchildren, is one of them. Donations to the organization can be mailed to P.O. Box 846, Montauk 11954.
The Montauk Playhouse Community Center Foundation is getting close to realizing the dream of multiuse facility, including two indoor pools, and is looking for more donations to make that happen. Contributions can be made online at montaukplayhouse.org or by mailing a check to P.O. Box 1612, Montauk.
Dec. 31 is the final day to help Concerned Citizens of Montauk meet a $15,000 challenge grant offered by several residents who will match every dollar donated, up to that amount. Information about donating to this environmental nonprofit can be learned by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, calling 631-238-5720, or visiting the organization’s office at 6 South Elmwood Avenue, Montauk.
Camp SoulGrow is also looking for some good cheer from the community to help support the many free and low-cost children’s programs, workshops, adventures, and volunteer opportunities it offers in Montauk and Hampton Bays. Donations can be made online at campsoulgrow.org.
