How You Can Make Your Home Energy Efficient

A presentation called “A Homeowner's Guide to Energy Efficiency” at the John Jermain Memorial Library in Sag Harbor next week aims to help residents figure out how they are wasting energy and how to take advantage of state incentives to make their homes more energy efficient. The program will be presented by Suffolk County Legislator Bridget Fleming on Tuesday from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Afterward, attendees can sign up for free home energy audits and free rooftop solar evaluations.

The event's co-sponsor, the Long Island Green Homes Initiative, is a nonprofit collaborative partnership of Long Island towns, community-based organizations, and Molloy College. It is primarily funded with a community outreach grant from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority.
