The Surf Lodge's deck overlooking Fort Pond in Montauk Bella Lewis
The Baxter Finley Pop Up Barber and Shop will be at Montauk's Surf Lodge restaurant and bar on Edgemere Street from Aug. 8 to 10, and an online shopping source called Zady will offer its myriad products, all of which are said to be "locally sourced, sustainable, and made in the United States by hand," from Aug. 16 to 18.
The hours of the pop up, presented by Baxter of California, will be from 2 to 6 p.m. on Aug. 8 and from noon to 7 p.m. on Aug. 9 and 10. Attendees will be treated to complimentary hair and beard touch-ups, as well as product samples, including a limited edition Montauk soap. Complimentary drinks will be served, and the Baxter‚ a signature drink, will be on offer. Concerts those evenings will feature the Temples on Saturday and Donavon Frankenreiter on Sunday.
Guests will have an opportunity to have pictures taken in a photo booth, purchase items in a retail shop, and enter into a sweepstakes for a prize of over $400 worth of Baxter of California products and a 7'5 Flat Tracker surfboard, which Chris Christenson of Christenson Surfboards has hand shaped.
From Aug. 16 to 18, Zady bags and jewelry will be on hand at the Surf Lodge from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., along with their makers. Men's and women's accessories, tops, and limited items, such as Sol Angeles products, will be available. Zady was founded by Soraya Darabi and Maxine Bédat, and has received recent acclaim as among "The World's Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in Retail" by Fast Company.
Designers of Zady products include Imogene + Willie, Clare Vivier, Alice D., Steven Alan, Falconwright, Shinola, Brandy Pham, and Scosha.
