Repairs on pothole-riddled sections of Route 114 between East Hampton and Sag Harbor are set to begin on Tuesday. Motorists have been advised to expect delays between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The New York State Department of Transportation will remove deteriorated asphalt and resurface eight sections of road spanning four and a half miles between Stephen Hand's Path and Division Street. The work is expected to take about a week, longer in case of inclement weather.

Lane closures are planned.

This is a separate project from the one taking place farther south on Route 114 at the intersection of Buell and Toilsome Lanes, where East Hampton Village is overseeing installation of a roundabout. That project should be completed by mid-May, Becky Molinaro Hansen, the village administrator, said on Tuesday.
