What's Left for August

August may be drawing to a close, but summer fun will continue through the end of the month. Here's why you might want to stick around.

Elements Fitness Studio will host a pop-up barre fitness class at the Montauk Beach House on 55 South Elmwood Avenue in Montauk on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. This outdoor workout class is complimentary and those attending are asked to take athletic shoes and socks. Yoga mats will be provided. Since class size is limited, those interested may R.S.V.P. to info@elementsfitnessstudio.com

One of the Surf Lodge's last concerts of the summer will be on Sunday. Sky Ferreira will perform at 7 p.m. and all proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Montauk Playhouse. The Surf Lodge's summer concert series is free, but a ticket purchased through the playhouse will guarantee your spot at the concert. Next Thursday, Revel in Dimes will perform, on Friday, Aug. 29, Hospitality, and on Aug. 30, Lolawolf.

Also on Sunday, Ingrid Michaelson will play at the Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6. Tickets start at $100 and only those 21 and over will be admitted.

The SunsTruck, which calls itself a local and handmade "mobile sunglass outfitter for the food-truck generation" will pull in to the Montauk Beach House on Sunday. Instead of food, the truck offers sunglasses brands like Illesteva, Wildfox, Mink Pink, Proof, Italia Independent, and Le Spec. A portion of the proceeds of that day's sales will go to Waves for Water, a nonprofit founded by the professional surfer Jon Rose that works to get clean water to communities in need around the world.
