The Long Island Green Homes Initiative will give a presentation Friday from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Y.M.C.A. East Hampton RECenter with information about how to find out where a residence is wasting energy and how to take advantage of state incentives to fix problems and increase energy efficiency. The measures will help homeowners save money as well as increase indoor comfort year round. Attendees will have the opportunity to sign up for a free home energy audit.
The event is co-sponsored by Suffolk County Legislator Bridget Fleming. Long Island Green Homes is a nonprofit partnership of Long Island towns and community organizations with Molloy College, which is largely funded by a grant from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority.
