Elaine Dunn of Three Mile Harbor Road, East Hampton, died of complications of heart disease at the Southampton Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing on Sunday. She was 61.
“Mom-Mom will be greatly missed by all her loved ones,” a member of her family said this week, explaining that her mother concentrated on taking care of her children and when they grew up, her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
Ms. Dunn was born in Southampton to Robert Edwards and the former Dorothy Stone on April 14, 1950. She attended East Hampton High School. She and Bruce Dunn were married in 1973, and made their home in East Hampton. He died in 1984.
Ms. Dunn was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Amagansett and liked arts and crafts.
Ms. Dunn is survived by her children: Laurie Edwards of Quito, Ecuador, Michelle Dunn of Farmingville, David Dunn of North Carolina, and Renee Dunn and Janeen Dunn of East Hampton. She also is survived by eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and her siblings, Karen Miller, Joan Salazar, and Ronald Edwards, all of East Hampton.
Visiting hours at the Yardley and Pino Funeral Home in Sag Harbor will be today between 2 and 4 p.m. and 7 and 9 p.m. Ms. Dunn will be buried on Saturday next to her husband in Oakland Cemetery in Sag Harbor.
