Louis C. Nolan Jr., a former resident of Sag Harbor who worked in the restaurant business on the South Fork, died at the Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead on Oct. 15 at the age of 70.
Mr. Nolan worked for many years at the J.G. Melon restaurant in Bridgehampton. He was born in Southampton on June 12, 1942, the son of Louis C. Nolan and the former Rosalie Pintavalle, and grew up in Bridgehampton. He was a graduate of Pierson High School.
After high school, Mr. Nolan joined the Air Force. He served at Griffiths Air Force Base in Rome, N.Y., and in Morocco. He married the former Patricia Anne Napier, who died some years ago.
He is survived by a son, Michael Nolan of Sag Harbor, and a daughter, Kim Nolan Vitale of Center Moriches. Mr. Nolan leaves four grandchildren.
A graveside service was held last Thursday at St. Andrew’s Cemetery in Sag Harbor.
