Joseph V. Kuch

    Joseph V. Kuch, a Bridgehampton native who became a civil engineer, died at home in Beach Haven, N.J., on Feb. 1. He was 74.
    Mr. Kuch graduated from Bridgehampton High School before earning a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Clarkson College in 1959. He served as a first lieutenant in the Army Corps of Engineers and went on to earn a master’s degree in business administration from City College in 1966.
    He was a licensed professional civil engineer in New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Puerto Rico and lived with his family in Briarcliff Manor, N.Y., for more than 40 years before retiring to Beach Haven.
    He was born in Bridgehampton on Feb. 14, 1937, the son of Vincent Kuch and the former Agnes Kruszesky.
    Surviving Mr. Kuch are his wife of more than 50 years, the former Dolores Pisano, and two daughters, Stacey Kuch of New York City and Margaret Kuch of Tuckerton, N.J. Two grandchildren also survive.
    A Mass will be said at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Bridgehampton, Msgr. Ronald Richardson presiding. Burial will follow at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Cemetery in Southampton.
