Charles T. Re Jr., an automobile salesman and sports car enthusiast, died of renal failure on Aug. 6 at Southampton Hospital. He was 80.
Mr. Re had been a resident of Wireless Road in East Hampton for 16 years, after moving from the Bronx. He was born in that borough on Oct. 10, 1931, a son of Charles T. Re Sr. and the former Bella Kornblum.
A veteran of the Korean War, he received a Silver Star for his service in the Army from 1950 to 1952.
Mr. Re was married to the former Gloria Rizzitiello, who survives. The couple had two sons, who also survive. They are Charles T. Re III of Hawthorne, N.Y., and John Re of East Hampton. Four grandchildren also survive.
Mr. Re was a member of the informal Old Stone Boys Club, a group of sports car lovers that gathered at the Old Stone Market in Springs.
A wake was held at the Yardley and Pino Funeral Home in East Hampton last Thursday. It was followed by a funeral Mass the next day at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in East Hampton.
