Word has been received of the death on July 13 of Sue Lynch, who lived in East Hampton as young child. Ms. Lynch died at home in Bakersfield, Calif. She was 64 and had been ill with breast cancer for about a year, said a cousin, Elaine Lynch of Riverhead.
She was born in 1949 at Southampton Hospital to Ralph and Margaret Lynch, then of East Hampton, but moved with her family to California as a child. Although she lived there for the rest of her life, she maintained close ties with many East Coast cousins. The highlight of her year was an annual trip to Las Vegas to meet “her favorite cousin, who she loved very, very much, Ronnie Sargo, and his wife, Diane,” who traveled there from New Jersey, Elaine Lynch said. They met each September at the Flamingo hotel to celebrate both of their birthdays.
Ms. Lynch was retired from the Budweiser beer company, where she had worked for many years.
Ms. Lynch was cremated. She is survived by one son, Hank Lynch of Bakersfield, and by many cousins in New Jersey and on Long Island.
