Edward Henry Rogé III, a former Montauk resident and charter boat mate, died in Pinehurst, N.C., following a one-year battle with bone and lung cancer. He was 57.

On Nov. 23, 1977, he married the former Joanne Nye. Shortly thereafter, the couple moved to Montauk. The couple had two daughters, Linda and Jaclyn, before parting ways in 1984.
In addition to Ms. Rogé, of Montauk, he is survived by Linda Rogé of Rochester, N.Y., and Jaclyn Rogé of Montauk. He is also survived by seven grandchildren. A sister, Diane Rogé of Pinehurst, N.C., also survives him.
A memorial service is being planned for a later date in Montauk, where his ashes will be spread.
