Teresa V. Duskiewicz died on Jan. 15 at Southampton Hospital, where she had been since having a massive stroke two days before Christmas. She was 83 years old.
Ms. Duskiewicz and her daughter Susan Hennessey lived together for 23 years, settling in Montauk seven years ago. She was an active member of St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church in Montauk, where the Rev. Michael Rieder officiated at a Mass of Christian burial on Jan. 18.
She was born to Ekov Wolowcevich and the former Catherine Creegan on June 2, 1930, in Manhattan and was brought up in the city. Before moving to Montauk, she and Ms. Hennessy lived in Dix Hills.
In addition to Ms. Hennessy, Ms. Duskiewicz is survived by two other daughters, Frances O’Connor of Cortlandt Manor, N.Y., and Diane Cassano of Mastic Beach. Two sisters, Katherine McIlvain of Kew Gardens and Frances Pica of Woodhaven, also survive, as do six grandchildren and five great-granchildren.
Burial was at Montauk’s Fort Hill Cemetery.
