Charged With Burglary

Following a report from a housekeeper of a suspicious man at a house on Bendigo Road in Amagansett and a panel truck in the driveway, East Hampton Town police arrested William Lagarenne, 31, on July 11, charging him with burglary in the second degree, grand larceny in the fourth degree, and possession of stolen property. An officer found two Hampton Cruiser bicycles in the truck.
Detectives located Mr. Lagarenne on Shore Drive East in Amagansett’s Lazy Point neighborhood. After he was arrested, they notified village detectives, who were seeking Mr. Lagarenne as well, for an unrelated theft of a large quantity of copper gutters from Riverhead Building Supplies on Railroad Avenue. According to Detective Sgt. Bennett, the total value of the copper stolen was over $10,000.
Mr. Lagarenne was arraigned last Thursday morning and held without bail, pending an indictment.

Anyone know if this is the same guy suspected of stealing copper gutters in Amagansett? I had $12,000 worth stolen in May, and the police said it was the latest in a string of copper gutter thefts in the area. Hope this is the guy so no one else suffers the same fate
