Vintage Store Gets Kicked

The Corner Closet in Sag Harbor, a vintage couture store that was targeted by a thieving “odd couple” two weeks ago (one was a man dressed as a woman), had another strange and unwelcome visitor last week, according to police.

A little before midnight last Thursday, a man described as “blond, wearing a dark-colored dress shirt, jeans, and dress shoes” walked into the doorway of the store, kicking it hard enough to shatter the glass.

A witness called 911, apparently after taking a cellphone photo of the man. Sag Harbor Village police went to the Bayview Drive West address of Shane L. Dyckman after talking to the witness, and there they found Mr. Dyckman “highly intoxicated.”

He was taken to headquarters, where the witness identified him, and arrested and charged with criminal mischief in the third degree, a felony. He is due back in court for arraignment on June 25.
